The question I receive the most from new podcasters is: “What type of microphone should I use?”
I understand why this is the first question. It is the most visible part of the recording process and more than likely it is the thing you know the least about.
A good microphone is important. (You can find a complete list of all the software and hardware I use at the end of this guide.
But that IS NOT the most important question.
In many ways it is a distraction from the more important questions you should be asking.
Today’s episode covers what you should be thinking about before you add a microphone to your shopping list and it will make all the difference to your success.
If you haven’t had the chance to download the guide Is Podcasting Right For You?, you should do it now. (It includes a complete list of all the software and hardware I use for this podcast.)
