Creating a new podcast is not something you will be able to do perfectly right off the bat. It will require a lot of learning.
Depending on how much experience you already have, you might need to learn how to speak into a microphone with confidence and how to conduct interviews.
Even after you have mastered these skills you’ll need to find out what form and rhythm are best for your show.
One of the ways to figure this out is to record a pilot episode (or three). This week we talk about what a pilot is, its value, and how to get the most out of the pilot process.
If you haven’t had the chance to download the guide Is Podcasting Right For You?, you should do it now. (It includes a complete list of all the software and hardware I use for this podcast.)
